Getting rid of needle marks in nylon

Post by adminemb » Tue Nov 12, 2019 1:50 pm

Hi all.

Working on embroidering some bags that are a heavy duty nylon. Realized that I used an old design (embroidery and applique) and needed to do it smaller (of course ugh). I consider myself practically a master with the Peggy's Stitch Eraser but it being nylon punctures the holes. Has anyone had any success getting rid of the needle marks? I have it down to a very faint shadow but can't seem to steam, press (melt?) it any further. Am looking for any suggestions. Thanks.

Hi Trish

I have a baby rubber (not the soft nylon bristles) toothbrush that sometimes helps to get the grains back together on stuff like nylon. Steaming from the back side may help too.

Good luck !
